The LIFE Project aimed at younger adults is a successful day service designed to focus on maintaining and developing essential life skills. Every 4/5 weeks, a programme of activities is developed which has a focus on a specific life skill and service users work as a group towards achieving realistic outcomes. Each service user also has their own individual learning plan and targets aimed at achievable development.
The LIFE Project has been developed with our values in mind and LIFE represents Life skills- Independence- Friendship- Empowerment
The service is based in one of our activity rooms at Parkside. This space provides a fantastic opportunity for Service Users to engage with various activities and using our mini buses access the local community. Individual groups are also supported to use public transport to access some off-site activities; building confidence and encouraging inclusion.
To enable us to offer a diverse and enjoyable range of activities for everyone we ask all Service Users to pay a £5 activity fee per day session attended.
The LIFE Project runs Monday to Friday from 9.30am – 3.30pm at Parkside in Aldershot.
For any comments suggestions or queries regarding the activity, programme please email the Deputy Manager angie.morris@parksidealdershot.co.uk or Group Leaders: leanne.court@parksidealdershot.co.uk or Jade.letham@parksidealdershot.co.uk or Mandy.wickins@parksidealdershot.co.uk Tel:01252 313103.
